Iris Gargano is a philosophical consultant and professional trainer. She works with many women, helping them develop tools for personal and professional leadership, and guiding them through processes of self-clarification, taking on responsibility, and making independent decisions.
After specializing in Applied Philosophical Counseling at Ca’ Foscari, she chose to build on the theoretical foundation she had established to develop concrete practical tools. Her approach rejects emotional oversimplifications and redemptive narratives, favoring a rigorous use of philosophy as a practice of self-determination. She currently lives in Mexico, a decision that came about after much reflection and led her to abandon what was expected or implicitly prescribed of her. In her work and in her first book, she demonstrates how philosophy can become a daily practice capable of restoring to women the ability to choose without seeking external validation. Cogito ergo donna represents the theoretical and practical synthesis of this approach.

Manual filosófico para mujeres que no piden permiso

A philosophical handbook for women who want to stop living on autopilot. It is not a self-help book, nor is it a guide to “becoming your best self”. It is an invitation to think more honestly: to take a close look at the beliefs, roles, and expectations that often guide our lives without us even realizing it. Through topics such as control, desire, authenticity, family, work, love, power, and recognition, Iris Gargano brings philosophy into everyday life to show how a woman can begin to distinguish between what she truly chooses and what she has simply learned to uphold out of habit, fear, or loyalty.
